Jeff Gammon

Jeff’s life journey was completed unexpectedly on August 20, 2017. He was born on January 2, 1947, to Don and Mildred Gammon of Dayton, WA. 
Jeff moved to Montgomery in 1963 and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1965. He served four years in the U.S. Army in Berlin, Germany, and then graduated from the University of Minnesota.
Jeff married Joyce Vlasak in 1971, and together they lived in several states. In 2011, Jeff retired from teaching and they moved from California to Texas. In retirement, Jeff was the Texas State Registrar for the Sons of the American Revolution. He also followed his passion doing volunteer work for wounded warriors at Fort Hood and the V.A.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents and their son, Alex.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; step-mother Aggie Zellmer Gammon of Las Vegas, NV; Cheryl and Larry Zellmer Cornwell of Henderson, NV; Jack Vlasak, and Bob and Carol Vlasak, all of Montgomery; Betty Remes of Prior Lake; and Shirley and Dan Harnish of Carmel, CA. 
Jeff’s ashes will be spread at Lake Tahoe, CA in the spring.

Jeff was the chief organizer for all Field Station Berlin reunions beginning with the first one in Monterey in 1996.
